Amboseli National Park is a protected area located in southern Kenya. It covers an area of 392 square kilometers and is situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, some of Africa’s largest. In addition to elephants, the park is also home to a wide range of other wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and various bird species.

Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

  • Depart from Nairobi early in the morning (around 7:00 AM) and drive to Amboseli National Park, which is approximately a 4 to 5-hour drive.
  • Arrive at your chosen lodge or camp in Amboseli, check in, and enjoy a scrumptious lunch.
  • After a short rest, embark on an afternoon game drive in the park. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants and other wildlife, such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffalos.
  • As the sun sets, return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2

Full-day Game Drive in Amboseli

  • Wake up early to catch the sunrise and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before your morning game drive. The cool morning air often brings animals out, making it a perfect time for wildlife spotting.
  • Head out into the park with a packed breakfast, giving you more time to explore and spot wildlife.
  • Visit the Observation Hill, which provides a panoramic view of Amboseli, including the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days.
  • Continue with the game drive, exploring different areas of the park and observing the diverse wildlife and bird species.
  • Return to your lodge or camp for lunch and some relaxation time.
  • In the afternoon, you have the option to either rest at the accommodation or take another game drive to explore different parts of the park.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 3
  • After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Amboseli to capture any missed sightings or simply relish the beauty of the wilderness.
  • Check out from your lodge or camp and depart for Nairobi.
  • Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and either transfer to the airport for your departure flight or drop-off at your preferred location in the city.
